August favourites

Hello everybody, today I'm back with my favourites post. September is nearly here, so it's time for my august favourites. I must confess I'm very happy for summer to be over, because I think in Slovenia every summer is hotter, which I hate. And also, september is my birthday month and this year it's a round one. My husband and I also celebrate our wedding anniversary in september, so you can see why this month is probably my favourite. But let's not skip ahead and go back to august.

I'm one of those lucky people that sweat a lot, and ultra high temperatures were just added bonus). This year I tried Borotalco deo roll on for the first time and they really were a life savers. I tried invisible and intensive ones and I like intensive one best. It has a nice scent which I was able to smell through the whole day. I have no idea why, but my hair got really dry, so to give my ends a little moist I'm using Melvita argan oil. At first I thought it will be too oily and my hair will get greasy, but if you add a small amount (I add 1 pump) it's perfect. My favourite nail polish brand is still Essie and for the summer I like to go for a bit more colorful shades, this one is California coral. When I first saw this L'oreal miss Baby Roll mascara I had to take it and I ended up loving it. I was using it every single day and I just ran out of it. I will repurchse it.

Matte liquid lipsticks are very in at the moment and when Kylie released her famous lip kits, many brands did the same and Primark was no different. While walking in Primark in Galway I saw this one (it comes in a set with lip pencil for 4€). It dries very quickly but it leaves a nice feeling on the lips. I love it's staying power since it stayed on my lips for 8 hours. I threw away the box so I can't tell you the shade of mine.

 For remoning my make up I started using Bioderma micellar solution for the first time. I tried a lot of different ones and since I tried this one I can see what thee hype was all about. It removes make up almost effortless. For treating myself under the shower I'm currently using Lush The Comfoter shower cream which has a yummy blackcurrant aroma.

 I love the concept of "make your own palette" and I was very happy when essence brought those out. I created myself this palette with two matte  and six shimmery shades. As you can see one of them have a little accident on a plane. I love their colors, their pigmentations and they also last a long time. It's certainly my most used palette.

And onto the last item, Yankee Candle shea butter meltcup for my scenterpiece. This scent is amazing, it's creamy, powdery and in my opinion appropriate for everyone. I prefer those meltcups as opposed to regular waxes, because it's earier to switch between scents.

Winter skincare favourites

Before I can say goodbye to winter I wanted to show you some products that helped me keep my skin moisturized during the winter. I have never had problems with dry skin on my body or face, but this year was different. Since I work in dry and hot bakery, my skin got very dry and itchy. For my body I was using Eucerine body lotion for sensitive skin.It is very easy to apply and has a nice, light smell.

Moving to my face, my every night time routine includes Oriflame true perfection refreshing eye illuminator. I have never paid much attention to the skin around my eyes, but when I got this product it changed my routine. Since I have to wake up at crazy hours and I don't get much sleep, this product helps my eyes from getting puffy. Even though my skin is oily it is not very hydrated so I treat it at night using Vichy Idealia skin sleep. I loooove everything about this face cream! I mean, look how cute the packaging is and the smell, but most of all, I love how it feels on the skin. In the morning I was using Matis shine controlpurifying care face cream. I'm very sad because I already used it up. It's one of the best face creams I have ever tried and I hope I will be able to repurchase it, since it's a bit pricey.

During the winter my lips are the ones that get dry first. I splurged a little with Clarins lip comfort oil. I love how it feels on the lips and it managed to make them smooth and nourished. I will repurchase this oil next winter for sure! I was using this oil at night and in the morning. During the day I was using Le Couvent de Minimes Eau Aimable smile lip balm. It smells of orange blossom, such a lovely scent.

Last on the list are my hands, I thing they are the ones that suffered the most. They were so dry that they started cracking and bleeding. Every night I apply thich layer of essence hand balm and in the morning I was using L'Occitane hand cream. This little orange gem is alessandro nail cream. I'm so thankful to the shop e-kozmetika for puting it into our goodie bags at our blogger conference. At first I was sceptical, because the one that I got is carrot & orange and I reeealy hate carrot. But suprisingly this one smells so good, I almost want to eat it every time I'm using it. It also nurishes my cuticles and makes the super soft.

Essence love.joy.care intensive care hand butter

 Pozdravljeni. Današnja objava sicer ni bila planirana, vendar me je izdelek tako zelo navdušil, da moram svoje navdušenje deliti z vami. Pisala bom o bogatem negovalnem maslu za roke (01 have a piece of care!) znamke essence iz njihove omejene izdaje love.joy.care. 

Kot vidite na prvi pogled je emalaža zelo privlačna, to je bila tudi prva stvar, ki me je pritegnila v nakup. Sicer imam izdelke za nego rok raje v tubi, saj so lažji za uporabo, pa tudi v torbici jih lažje prenašam, ampak je tale lepotec našel svoje mesto na nočni omarici in ga uporabim vsak večer pred spanjem. V lončku je 50 ml nežno odišavljenega produkta. Na pokrovčku piše, da ima vonj po bombažnem mleku, s čim se strinjam. Zadnje čase so mi zelo všeč takšni bombažni vonji, sploh pri negovalnih izdelkih za roke. Vsebuje shea maslo, kokos, mandljevo olje in makadamijo. Všeč mi je, da ne masti rok in da se zelo hitro vpije. Čeprav sama nimam velikih problemov s suho kožo, postanejo moje roke pozimi tako suhe, da pride do razpokanja kože (predvsem na členkih). Z uporabo tega masla je suha koža izginila, za kar sem mu izredno hvaležna.

Essence Winter? Wonderful! ocena izdelkov

V decembru je znamka essence na prodajne  police poslala omejeno kolekcijo izdelkov imenovano Winter ? Wonderful! Kot veliko oboževalko zime me je pritegnilo že samo ime, kaj pa izdelki?

Sama sem ena izmed tistih oseb, ki nimajo nikoli dosti krem za roke. Priznam, da sem pr tej "padla" na kjut emalažo. Tuba je nežno roza s pearly videzom, na njej pa so srebrne snežinke, popolna! Essence je kremo poimenoval 01 you melt my heart in meni ga ta krema definitivno je. Uporabljam jo čisto vsak dan in kar s težkim srcem gledam kako je zmanjkuje. Mislim, da bom šla v lov še za eno, dve... Njen vonj je zelo blag in čist. Všeč mi je, da se krema hitro vpije in super navlaži kožo. Skratka, same pohvale!

Naslednja dva produkta, ki sem ju prejela v oceno, sta rdečilo za lica - 01 winter kissed cheek in negovalni gloss za ustnice - 02 ... I'd send you a blizzard. Negovalni glos/olje me je najprej pritegnil, saj sem do sedaj poznala in uporabljala samo klasične glose za ustnice. Ker imam pozimi zelo razpokane ustnice, sem se glosa najbolj razveselila. Ko sem ga prvič nanesla sem bila pozitivno presenečena - ustnice niso bile čisto nič lepljive, kot so ponavadi pri uporabi glosa.  Ustnice obarva nežno roza in jih hkrati nahrani. Odkar sem ga prejela je moj zvesti spremljevalec v torbici.

Rdečil za lica ne uporabljam več tako pogosto, saj sem mi ob 5ih zjutraj ne da preveč pacati z ličili. Vendar sem tega lepotca vseeno že dobro stestirala. Na prvi pogled ne deluje kot navadno rdečilo, zaradi dodatka olivno zelene barve. Le-ta me je sprva malo prestrašila, saj nsem vedela, kako bo to izpadlo na licih. Vendar je bil moj strah odveč, ko se vse barve zmešajo skupaj nastane čudovit odtenek rahlo svetleče, meni zelo všečne roza barve, po kateri rada posežem v vseh letnih časih.

Essence TE Fun Fair - baked blush review

Hey ladies. You all know how much I love essence, and I was thrilled when they sent me two goodies from their brand new trend edition called FUN FAIR. I have been using and testing this gorgeous baked blush 01 RING AROUND THE ROSY for a month, so now that it hit the stores, I can write my opinion about it. 

 
Since pink blushes are my favourite, this one is totally up my alley. It's also shimmery/metalicy  which is a feature I also look for in blushes. When I first saw it I fell in love, but when I first tried it I fell in love even more. The pigmentation is amazing, as you can se on the picture below.

I have to admit that I kind of forgot about my other blushes and I have been using this one all the time. What I like it this blush is that it gives a nice shine to my cheeks so I don't need to use a highlighter. This comes in handy in the morning when you have to get ready for work in a hurry. The blush comes in plastic container which contain 4g of product. I think that the container is great for traveling because it's not too big and looks sturdy enough. The blush costs 3,29€ and you can order it here. This is definitely one of the best blushes I own. Thank you Essence Slovenia for treating me.

They sent me one more product from this trend edition, which I will write about in one of my next reviews.

My summer necessities

Summer is officially here so it's time for some new products. Bronzed look, bright colors, SPF..... read more about my summer necessities below. 

 

There is no summery make up look without bronzer. I love using Essence (TE Beach cruisers) bronzing powder, because it's matte, but it's also shimmery in the middle, so you can use it as a matte or shimmery bronzer, to get that sun kissed look. Artdeco bronzing powder is matte, and very gorgeous on the skin. Now to the bright colours, I love wearing coral nail polish in the summer. My favourites are Essie - California coral and Alessandro - VIVA LA DIVA - City Grass. As for the lipstick, my favourite shades are pink, one of my favourite is Wet 'n' wild - Mauve Outta Here. I'm sure those pretty colors are popping into your eyes, this is my first Sleek eyeshadow palette and it's called sunset. Pigmentation is amazing as you can see on the swatches. Those are actually quite wild colors for me, but I have tried some combinations on my eyes and I liked the results. I also love the packaging, it's very slim and sturdy, great for traveling.

I love trying new Slovenian products. This time I've got bath salt from the brand called Lepa Vida. I put a hand full of salt into my bath, because I tend to have problems with salt water when I go to the sea, that way I'm slowly preparing my skin for the salt. It also smells great, you can pick between different scents, mine is mediterannean. Next one is a must! I'm talking about SPF. There's a lot of them on the market, but I always tend to pick a high one. Mine is Yves Rocher Protectyl vegetal 50+. It works great for my sensitive skin and I don't get sunburned while using it. Anothes must in summer is body moisturizer. You don't want to have dry skin while wearing shorts, don't you? Currently I'm obsessing over Soap & glory the righteous butter. It's made for very dry skin, which skin on my legs sure it. I'm in love with the smell. I want a perfume that smells like that, anyone knows if it exists?

Batiste dry shampoo comes in handy on the days when you just can't bother to wash your hair. It refreshes them and makes them look clean.

Schwarzkopf GLISS hair repair oil is a great product to use on your hair after a long day at the beach. My ends are very dry, so I like to spray a little bit of this oil on them. It also helps me brush them easily.

Another SPF related item, this one is for my face. It's Clinique face cream (SPF 40). For covering up my acne I have been using Rimmel stay matte liquid mousse foundation and pressed powder non stop and I'm obsessed. I just need to get mousse foundation in a lighter shade, but that one's ok for summer. To set my foundation I love using L'occitane pivoine sublime perfectiong mist. It does it's job great in the heat, when my foundation would normally melt of my face. Lastly, there has to be a candle. This one is Yankee Candle Sun & Sand. It's a tropical beach breeze of sweet orange flower, lemony citrus, fresh lavender and powdery musk.

New in # 31

First category is eyes related. I couldn't resist this gorgeous Catrice palette (LE kaviar gauche). The packaging is very nice and will be a pretty accessory for my future vanity table. Sadly the pigmentation is not very good. Next is essence eyeshadow - 17 no cream, no sugar. It's matte brown color which I use to fill in my eyebrows. I also got essence make me brow - 02 browny brows, and I must say that this is an amazing product. I also pick up a new mascara, it's Deborah divine volume & curve and Rimmel scandaleyes waterproof kohl kajal - 005 nude.

Next up, lippies. First is Alverde - 30 dominant pink, it's a limited edition, so grab it while you still can. I really like the packaging of this one aswell. I also get my first Rimmel lipstick - lasting finish by Kate - 105. Next is my favourite lip product, L'oreal Extraordinare - 102 Rose Finale. This is my second lipstick and definitely not the last. I know a lot of people were raving about Rimmel Apocalips lip lacquers, so I had to get one. Mine is 304 eclipse and I really like it, I just hate the smell of it.

I have already written about this little gem here. It's Lush Cosmetic Warrior face mask and I finally repurchase it.

I really did splurge on Rimmel, didn't I? I also got  Stay Matte pressed powder and mousse foundation. I absolutely love them both and I use them every day. Next is essence  highlighting powder (Cinderella TE) - 01 the glass slipper.

It's time for some blushes. This time I've got three. I haven't used essence blush (Cinderella TE) - 01 so this is love and essence blush  (Brit - tea TE) - 01 tea-rific garden party yet, but I have been using Alverde blush - 20 lolli pink every day and I love it.

Last two items are Dove shower gel and Rimmel Salon pro Kate nailpolish - 703 rock n roll.
