August favourites

Hello everybody, today I'm back with my favourites post. September is nearly here, so it's time for my august favourites. I must confess I'm very happy for summer to be over, because I think in Slovenia every summer is hotter, which I hate. And also, september is my birthday month and this year it's a round one. My husband and I also celebrate our wedding anniversary in september, so you can see why this month is probably my favourite. But let's not skip ahead and go back to august.

I'm one of those lucky people that sweat a lot, and ultra high temperatures were just added bonus). This year I tried Borotalco deo roll on for the first time and they really were a life savers. I tried invisible and intensive ones and I like intensive one best. It has a nice scent which I was able to smell through the whole day. I have no idea why, but my hair got really dry, so to give my ends a little moist I'm using Melvita argan oil. At first I thought it will be too oily and my hair will get greasy, but if you add a small amount (I add 1 pump) it's perfect. My favourite nail polish brand is still Essie and for the summer I like to go for a bit more colorful shades, this one is California coral. When I first saw this L'oreal miss Baby Roll mascara I had to take it and I ended up loving it. I was using it every single day and I just ran out of it. I will repurchse it.

Matte liquid lipsticks are very in at the moment and when Kylie released her famous lip kits, many brands did the same and Primark was no different. While walking in Primark in Galway I saw this one (it comes in a set with lip pencil for 4€). It dries very quickly but it leaves a nice feeling on the lips. I love it's staying power since it stayed on my lips for 8 hours. I threw away the box so I can't tell you the shade of mine.

 For remoning my make up I started using Bioderma micellar solution for the first time. I tried a lot of different ones and since I tried this one I can see what thee hype was all about. It removes make up almost effortless. For treating myself under the shower I'm currently using Lush The Comfoter shower cream which has a yummy blackcurrant aroma.

 I love the concept of "make your own palette" and I was very happy when essence brought those out. I created myself this palette with two matte  and six shimmery shades. As you can see one of them have a little accident on a plane. I love their colors, their pigmentations and they also last a long time. It's certainly my most used palette.

And onto the last item, Yankee Candle shea butter meltcup for my scenterpiece. This scent is amazing, it's creamy, powdery and in my opinion appropriate for everyone. I prefer those meltcups as opposed to regular waxes, because it's earier to switch between scents.

First category is eyes related. I couldn't resist this gorgeous Catrice palette (LE kaviar gauche). The packaging is very nice and will be a pretty accessory for my future vanity table. Sadly the pigmentation is not very good. Next is essence eyeshadow - 17 no cream, no sugar. It's matte brown color which I use to fill in my eyebrows. I also got essence make me brow - 02 browny brows, and I must say that this is an amazing product. I also pick up a new mascara, it's Deborah divine volume & curve and Rimmel scandaleyes waterproof kohl kajal - 005 nude.

Next up, lippies. First is Alverde - 30 dominant pink, it's a limited edition, so grab it while you still can. I really like the packaging of this one aswell. I also get my first Rimmel lipstick - lasting finish by Kate - 105. Next is my favourite lip product, L'oreal Extraordinare - 102 Rose Finale. This is my second lipstick and definitely not the last. I know a lot of people were raving about Rimmel Apocalips lip lacquers, so I had to get one. Mine is 304 eclipse and I really like it, I just hate the smell of it.

I really did splurge on Rimmel, didn't I? I also got  Stay Matte pressed powder and mousse foundation. I absolutely love them both and I use them every day. Next is essence  highlighting powder (Cinderella TE) - 01 the glass slipper.

It's time for some blushes. This time I've got three. I haven't used essence blush (Cinderella TE) - 01 so this is love and essence blush  (Brit - tea TE) - 01 tea-rific garden party yet, but I have been using Alverde blush - 20 lolli pink every day and I love it.

Last two items are Dove shower gel and Rimmel Salon pro Kate nailpolish - 703 rock n roll.

Hair:

I will soon ran out of my beloved Lee Stafford my big fat healthy hair shampoo & conditioner. They are a bit pricey (around 8€ each), so my mom was kind enough to buy them for me. She also treated me with L'oreal Elseve shampoo & conditioner. My old Tangle Teezer was in pretty bad shape, so I get myself with new one. I adore this hair brush and the fact that it doesn't have a handle doesn't bother me anymore. You can order it  here.

Face:

I stopped counting my L'oreal Micellar water bottles, I keep repurchasing this one, because it works great for me. Krasna is Slovenian brand which makes natural products based on lavender  This face tonic is my first product from the brand and so far I like it.

Other:

Bourjois Rouge edition Velvet are probably one of the most hyped liquid lipsticks at the moment. I luckily found them on sale and got myself two shades, 07 Nude-ist and 02 Frambourjoise. Their finish is matte and they are extremely longlasting. Chloe is a perfume that has been on my wishlist for quite some time. For me it was always too expensive, so I never got a chance to add it to my collection. Since me and my fiancee have started wedding planning I decided that this is a perfect opportunity to get a statement scent for our big day. I ordered mine here. Recent favourites

There's been a while since my last monthly favourites post, so I named today's post recent favourites in which I will show you few products that I have been loving recently.

First is my beloved Lush Cosmetic Warrior face mask, Sadly I have ran out of it, but I'm planning to repurchase it as soon I will go to Ljubljana. Next are two liquid foundations, first is L'oreal Infallible and next is Revlon Colorstay. When applying a foundation I usually mix both of them at the back of my hand. Together they give me a great coverage and a nice dewy look. Underneath the foundation I always apply moisturizing cream,, at the moment I'm using Green Line HydroMineral.

My nails looks pretty bad so I haven't been using any nail polishes. I just painted them for easter with Essie - mint candy apple. My most used eyshadow palette is currently Catrice Absolute Rose, it have six shades (two matte and 4 shimmery) and they are all in different shades of pink and purple. To finish my eye look I have been using L'oreal super liner blackbuster. I find those pen liners really easy to use. Puma Flowing and Moschino Pink Bouqet were the scents I sprayed on the most for the last few months. I have also started wearing earrings more often, I got those peral ones in New Yorker.

I have had some problems with my laptop and I was without it for a couple of days, so I had plenty of time to read, I finnaly got my hands on Girl Online, written by famous Youtuber Zoella (Zoe Sugg). While reading it I was burning Yankee Candle White Gardenia. And of course, there's no easter without Milka eggs, which I get from easter bunny every year.

Nude lips

Lately I have been wearing nude lipstick on my lips all the time. I didn't wear those lipsticks "Kylie" style, but Kim style. I find all of them suitable for everyday wear because they are super easy to apply and you can reapply them on the go. The use of lipliner is optional, I haven't been using them until recently, but now if I have time I do. As you can notice, I like my nude lipsticks in pale purple (mauve) colour, I just think that they suit me the best and also purple is my second favourite colour so I love to wear it.

Artdeco high performance lipstick - 482 damask rose

This beauty was a part of my Artdeco haul. It is very light and feels soft on the lips. The application is very easy. It nourishes lips with panthenol and vitamin E and also promises to visibly increase lip volume. This is my first lipstick from that brand, but definately not the last. The thing I like the most about it is how it feels on the lips. I didn't notice that the volume of my lips would increase, but it is very nurishing, which I really like since my lips can get dry fast.

Essence lip liner - 06 satin mauve

Next is a lip liner which is in perfect colour for this category. It glides on smoothly and even if you don't have many experiences with lip liners, you can't mess this one up. I really reccomend you to try essence lip liners, because they are very good and also very cheap.

L'oreal L'Extraordinaire Liquid Lipstick - 500 molto mauve

Those liquid lipsticks have been on my wishlist for quite some time. They are a bit pricey, so I only have one (for now). I picked this one up because it's suitable for every day wear and I know I will get a good use out of it. It promises a colour intensity of a lipstick, magnifiying shine of a gloss and a softness of a balm. At first I was afraid it would be too sticky, but it's not. I'm hoping to add another colour to my humble collection.

Essence - 03 come naturally

I'm very happy I've got my hands on this one, because they sell out pretty quick. They were a part of a trend edition, but will become a part of a regular line aswell, so don't be sad if you weren't able to get one, you will get you chance soon. I have been carying this one in the bag since the first day I got it and I wear it the most lately. If you get a chance, you should try it out.

My valentine's day essentials

The most romantic day of the year is approaching, that's why I wanted to share with you some of my favourite products at the moment, which I will use on valentine's day. I usually don't celebrate it, but I still want to look nice for my dear.

My favourite category is pamper and perfume. I'm in love with Lush Snow Fairy. I own shower gel and massage bar. I feel like this scent instantly puts me in a good mood, no matter how bad my day was. Sadly it's not available in stores at the moment, because it's a part of christmas limited edition collection, but I hope it will be available again in december. My favourite perfume at the moment is Moschino Funny. The scent is very fresh, on the contrary of what I usually like, it's not even wintery scent, more of a spring one, but that doesn't mean you can't use it throughout the whole year.

Makeup wise, I love new L'oreal Infallible foundation. It's a bit too dark for me, but that can be fixed with pressed powder. Next is I Heart Makeup palette I Am Sexy, perfect name for that day am I right? And of course there's no valentine's day makeup look withouth red lipstick, mine is from brand Manhattan.

I will finish the look with my new black blouse with white hearts from New Yorker and a chunky statement necklace. Every year I paint my nails with essence glittery nail polish which also contain little hearts.

May favourites

Yes it's this time of the month again. Today I deicided I will sort my favourites in different categories, starting with....

something good for your nose

I have been burning Yankee Candle - Pink Lady Slipper all the time, it has a perfect scent for the spring. If you are nearby the store Vonj narave, give it a sniff.
I have been also loving the scent of J. Lo -  Glow. It's such a light fragnance suitable for everyday.

pretty nail polishes

This month I have finally bought Essie - mint candy apple which have been on my wishlist for sooooo long, I don't know why I haven't bought it sooner, it's perfect mint shade and I love wearing it.  Second favourite nail polish at the moment is Essie - smokin' hot, which is the most perfect purple shade, I just can't get enough of it.

  for the face

 I have been using Essence pure skin moisturizer for a while now and I can truly say it is worth trying. I use it under my make up and it works great, it also doesn't make me break out, which is a big plus.
For cleaning my face I started using La Roche - Posay Effaclar purifying foaming gel which cleans my skin very well, the only thing I don't like about is is the scent.

eyes & lips

I was eying with L'oreal  miss manga mascara for quite some time, but when I finally got it, I fell in love with it. It's amazing what this mascara can do to my eyelashes, I can't even describe how amazing it is.
Next is Blistex complete moisture which I actually forgot about and when I found it in a bag that I haven't wear for a while, I started using it again. I always have pretty chapped lips, but this little fella saved them. And with my newly smooth lips I re-discover and start wearing again my Essence stay with me longlasting lipgloss - 02 my favorite milkshake.

food

And now to my favourite category, food (as you can tell). Me and my fiancee discovered this Menthe ice cream in Lidl and have to buy it. It is soooooo yummy, it tastes like after eight. I think I will have this in my freezer all through  the summer. On sume yucky rainy day I was walking through Leclerc and wanted to treat myself, I saw this Afizona half ice tea & half lemonade, I fell in love with it after the first sip. And another beverage is Cool Moments strwaberry and rhubarb ice tea (Hofer). It's great because it is not sweat at all. And of course, our cherries, which you can see on all the pictures. We have two trees on our backyard and they are full of cherries.

On my feet I have been wearing my New Look flats. I love them because of their vintage look. You must be wondering how come I haven't post an outfit with those? To tell you the truth, whenever I get a piece of clothing I really like, I want to "save" it for one special outfit and then make a post about it, so you will be seeing more of those shoes.
