August favourites

Hello everybody, today I'm back with my favourites post. September is nearly here, so it's time for my august favourites. I must confess I'm very happy for summer to be over, because I think in Slovenia every summer is hotter, which I hate. And also, september is my birthday month and this year it's a round one. My husband and I also celebrate our wedding anniversary in september, so you can see why this month is probably my favourite. But let's not skip ahead and go back to august.

I'm one of those lucky people that sweat a lot, and ultra high temperatures were just added bonus). This year I tried Borotalco deo roll on for the first time and they really were a life savers. I tried invisible and intensive ones and I like intensive one best. It has a nice scent which I was able to smell through the whole day. I have no idea why, but my hair got really dry, so to give my ends a little moist I'm using Melvita argan oil. At first I thought it will be too oily and my hair will get greasy, but if you add a small amount (I add 1 pump) it's perfect. My favourite nail polish brand is still Essie and for the summer I like to go for a bit more colorful shades, this one is California coral. When I first saw this L'oreal miss Baby Roll mascara I had to take it and I ended up loving it. I was using it every single day and I just ran out of it. I will repurchse it.

Matte liquid lipsticks are very in at the moment and when Kylie released her famous lip kits, many brands did the same and Primark was no different. While walking in Primark in Galway I saw this one (it comes in a set with lip pencil for 4€). It dries very quickly but it leaves a nice feeling on the lips. I love it's staying power since it stayed on my lips for 8 hours. I threw away the box so I can't tell you the shade of mine.

For remoning my make up I started using Bioderma micellar solution for the first time. I tried a lot of different ones and since I tried this one I can see what thee hype was all about. It removes make up almost effortless. For treating myself under the shower I'm currently using Lush The Comfoter shower cream which has a yummy blackcurrant aroma.

I love the concept of "make your own palette" and I was very happy when essence brought those out. I created myself this palette with two matte  and six shimmery shades. As you can see one of them have a little accident on a plane. I love their colors, their pigmentations and they also last a long time. It's certainly my most used palette.

And onto the last item, Yankee Candle shea butter meltcup for my scenterpiece. This scent is amazing, it's creamy, powdery and in my opinion appropriate for everyone. I prefer those meltcups as opposed to regular waxes, because it's earier to switch between scents.

My summer necessities

Summer is officially here so it's time for some new products. Bronzed look, bright colors, SPF..... read more about my summer necessities below.

There is no summery make up look without bronzer. I love using Essence (TE Beach cruisers) bronzing powder, because it's matte, but it's also shimmery in the middle, so you can use it as a matte or shimmery bronzer, to get that sun kissed look. Artdeco bronzing powder is matte, and very gorgeous on the skin. Now to the bright colours, I love wearing coral nail polish in the summer. My favourites are Essie - California coral and Alessandro - VIVA LA DIVA - City Grass. As for the lipstick, my favourite shades are pink, one of my favourite is Wet 'n' wild - Mauve Outta Here. I'm sure those pretty colors are popping into your eyes, this is my first Sleek eyeshadow palette and it's called sunset. Pigmentation is amazing as you can see on the swatches. Those are actually quite wild colors for me, but I have tried some combinations on my eyes and I liked the results. I also love the packaging, it's very slim and sturdy, great for traveling.

I love trying new Slovenian products. This time I've got bath salt from the brand called Lepa Vida. I put a hand full of salt into my bath, because I tend to have problems with salt water when I go to the sea, that way I'm slowly preparing my skin for the salt. It also smells great, you can pick between different scents, mine is mediterannean. Next one is a must! I'm talking about SPF. There's a lot of them on the market, but I always tend to pick a high one. Mine is Yves Rocher Protectyl vegetal 50+. It works great for my sensitive skin and I don't get sunburned while using it. Anothes must in summer is body moisturizer. You don't want to have dry skin while wearing shorts, don't you? Currently I'm obsessing over Soap & glory the righteous butter. It's made for very dry skin, which skin on my legs sure it. I'm in love with the smell. I want a perfume that smells like that, anyone knows if it exists?

Batiste dry shampoo comes in handy on the days when you just can't bother to wash your hair. It refreshes them and makes them look clean.
Schwarzkopf GLISS hair repair oil is a great product to use on your hair after a long day at the beach. My ends are very dry, so I like to spray a little bit of this oil on them. It also helps me brush them easily.

Another SPF related item, this one is for my face. It's Clinique face cream (SPF 40). For covering up my acne I have been using Rimmel stay matte liquid mousse foundation and pressed powder non stop and I'm obsessed. I just need to get mousse foundation in a lighter shade, but that one's ok for summer. To set my foundation I love using L'occitane pivoine sublime perfectiong mist. It does it's job great in the heat, when my foundation would normally melt of my face. Lastly, there has to be a candle. This one is Yankee Candle Sun & Sand. It's a tropical beach breeze of sweet orange flower, lemony citrus, fresh lavender and powdery musk.

Recent favourites

There's been a while since my last monthly favourites post, so I named today's post recent favourites in which I will show you few products that I have been loving recently.

First is my beloved Lush Cosmetic Warrior face mask, Sadly I have ran out of it, but I'm planning to repurchase it as soon I will go to Ljubljana. Next are two liquid foundations, first is L'oreal Infallible and next is Revlon Colorstay. When applying a foundation I usually mix both of them at the back of my hand. Together they give me a great coverage and a nice dewy look. Underneath the foundation I always apply moisturizing cream,, at the moment I'm using Green Line HydroMineral.

My nails looks pretty bad so I haven't been using any nail polishes. I just painted them for easter with Essie - mint candy apple. My most used eyshadow palette is currently Catrice Absolute Rose, it have six shades (two matte and 4 shimmery) and they are all in different shades of pink and purple. To finish my eye look I have been using L'oreal super liner blackbuster. I find those pen liners really easy to use. Puma Flowing and Moschino Pink Bouqet were the scents I sprayed on the most for the last few months. I have also started wearing earrings more often, I got those peral ones in New Yorker.

I have had some problems with my laptop and I was without it for a couple of days, so I had plenty of time to read, I finnaly got my hands on Girl Online, written by famous Youtuber Zoella (Zoe Sugg). While reading it I was burning Yankee Candle White Gardenia. And of course, there's no easter without Milka eggs, which I get from easter bunny every year.

Ready for spring?

In my country the winter is comming to an end. I love winter, but I also like spring. I love it when the season changes because that means new wardrobe and new beauty poducts. In today's post I will show you some od my spring stash. Those are just some of them, because I didn't want this post to be too long. I'm thinking about bringing back monthly favouites posts, how would you like that?

Let's stat with good smelling items. First is Yves Rocher GREEN TEA eau de toilette (purchase here). Lately I tend to like fresh scents more than those sickly sweet ones. I think fresh ones are great for spring and summer, I will be using this one non-stop.
Next is Ma Provence orange blossom shower gel. I actualy already started using it and I love the scent very much.
Yankee Candle Aloe Vera (purchase here) is very nice and fresh scent. I like it because it's not too overpowering. It's a part of their new spring collection, wich in my opinion is great, I like every scent in it. More about the whole collection on my friends Živa blog here.

Essie - fiji is probably the most popular shade amongst beauty bloggers, I thik that almost every beauty blogger in Slovenia own one, so I have to follow the trend and got it for myself. I think this one is great for everyday use because it's very natural. The shade mint candy apple is one of my favourite. It's this perfect mint nailpolish that everyone should own. I really like my pastels in spring as you can tell.
Essence lash princess false lash effect mascara is a new mascara from essence. I'm really impressed by their mascaras because they are great and cheap too.

Catrice CO1 Apricoco matt lip colour is very pretty orange/coral/appricot colour. I steppet out of my safe zone with this one a bit, and I'm glat that I did, because I really like it and I know I will wear it a lot.

The last is the product that I'm most excited to feature in this post, it's my beloved Urban Decay NAKED 2 palette  (purchase here). This one has been on my wishlist since it first came out. The shades are great for either daytime or nighttime makeup looks. I love the facts that it has matt and shimmery shades. I would love to own other two palettes, but this one is the one I know I will use a lot because the shades are totally up my alley and the fact that it also have a black shade won me over even more. The palette comes with the brush, wich is actually pretty great and a set of eye primers.

December beauty haul - new in #28

In december I spent a lot of my money for gifts, but I still manage to buy some bits and bobs for myself, because I reeeeealllly neded all of this :)

Lush - Snow Fairy shower gel
Lush - Father Christmas bath bomb
Bomb Cosmetics - Cotton Candy bath bomb

Those three products are totally up my alley, because they have a sweet scent. Especially Snow Fairy, which smells like bubble gum. I also love the scent that stay in the bathroom after showering with it. I haven't used any of those bath bombs, but I think I will soon, because they both look very tempting.

I have always wanted to try out Cowshed products, but they are too expensive. I was so happy when I found them on sale, so I went a little overboard with my purchase. I've bought myself  Knackered Cow relaxing body lotion, Saucy Cow softening conditioner, which I have already tested and I love it so much, I think I will order myself a few more bottles to have them in stock. For my hands I got Cow Slip hand cream. So far I really like all of them. I have to say that the scents are not for everybody, because they are all natural with essential oils, but I love them. With my purchase I gor a free sample of Steamcream. Company Le Couvent des Minimes also sent me a pack of their samples.

Jessica  Sass & Sparkle - 855 Show Stopper nail polish
Essie - jiggle hi jiggle low nail polish, which I'm planning to wear on new year's eve
Essence - like a bad girl fragnance
Essence Come to town - 02 Naughty or nice? quattro eyeshadow
Deborah Milano red laque lipstick - 7
Garnier micellar cleansing water

July and August favourites

Firstly I want to mention two brands, Makeup Revolution and I <3 Makeup. They are new in Slovenia, you can find them at Ličila.si. I'm not sponsored to say this (I picked and bought all of the items myself), I geniualy love their products. First is  Makeup Revolution The matte effect foundation - Cool Ivory, which works for me, since my skin improved a bit. It's coverage is light to medium, perfect for summer. Next is the I <3 Makeup triple baked blusher - Blushing hearts with the prettiest packing in the shape of heart. It has a shimmer in it, which until recently I didn't like in blushers, but now I'm converted and I love this one to pieces. Another constant in my make up kit for the past two monts has been I <3 Makeup - Go! Palette, which consists of a bronzer, blusher, highlighter and six eyeshadows (one is matt and five of them are shimmery). The pallet is very handy when you are on the go, because you don't need to carry around a lot of different products. I really like eyeshadows, they have great pigmentation and they don't crease, which is great because I normaly have problems with creasing. A bit unusual colour to paint your nails with in summer is black, but I have been wearing it quite a lot recently. I used Essie - licorice. Who doesn't like to feel refreshed in the shower? I love... Minty Choco Chip shower gel is perfect for that, even my fiancee likes to use it. And again among my favourites,  Yankee Candle - Summer Scoop. I just love this scent so much that I can't get enough of it. My lips were in a bit more natural shade with a help of Essence lipstick - 07 Natural beauty. In summer I like to smell good so I try out some deo sprays. This year I love Nivea anti perspirant pure & sensitive. And to top that off I spray myself with Puma - Flowing toilet water. Last item is Essence (Aquatix LE) mini powder brush which I carry with me in my bag all the time.

May favourites

Yes it's this time of the month again. Today I deicided I will sort my favourites in different categories, starting with....

something good for your nose

I have been burning Yankee Candle - Pink Lady Slipper all the time, it has a perfect scent for the spring. If you are nearby the store Vonj narave, give it a sniff.
I have been also loving the scent of J. Lo -  Glow. It's such a light fragnance suitable for everyday.

pretty nail polishes

This month I have finally bought Essie - mint candy apple which have been on my wishlist for sooooo long, I don't know why I haven't bought it sooner, it's perfect mint shade and I love wearing it.  Second favourite nail polish at the moment is Essie - smokin' hot, which is the most perfect purple shade, I just can't get enough of it.

  for the face

I have been using Essence pure skin moisturizer for a while now and I can truly say it is worth trying. I use it under my make up and it works great, it also doesn't make me break out, which is a big plus.
For cleaning my face I started using La Roche - Posay Effaclar purifying foaming gel which cleans my skin very well, the only thing I don't like about is is the scent.

eyes & lips

I was eying with L'oreal  miss manga mascara for quite some time, but when I finally got it, I fell in love with it. It's amazing what this mascara can do to my eyelashes, I can't even describe how amazing it is.
Next is Blistex complete moisture which I actually forgot about and when I found it in a bag that I haven't wear for a while, I started using it again. I always have pretty chapped lips, but this little fella saved them. And with my newly smooth lips I re-discover and start wearing again my Essence stay with me longlasting lipgloss - 02 my favorite milkshake.

food

And now to my favourite category, food (as you can tell). Me and my fiancee discovered this Menthe ice cream in Lidl and have to buy it. It is soooooo yummy, it tastes like after eight. I think I will have this in my freezer all through  the summer. On sume yucky rainy day I was walking through Leclerc and wanted to treat myself, I saw this Afizona half ice tea & half lemonade, I fell in love with it after the first sip. And another beverage is Cool Moments strwaberry and rhubarb ice tea (Hofer). It's great because it is not sweat at all. And of course, our cherries, which you can see on all the pictures. We have two trees on our backyard and they are full of cherries.

 shoes

On my feet I have been wearing my New Look flats. I love them because of their vintage look. You must be wondering how come I haven't post an outfit with those? To tell you the truth, whenever I get a piece of clothing I really like, I want to "save" it for one special outfit and then make a post about it, so you will be seeing more of those shoes.
